Special Tour Planned for Rare Viewing of Shroud of Turin
Coming soon is an exciting event for Catholics around the world. The Shroud of Turin was last unveiled 10 years ago, andwill be on rare public display at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, Italy.
The linen One of the most interesting and controversial relics in Christendom, the Shroud of Turin is the subject of intense debate among scientists, believers, historians and researchers cloth, which millions believe to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ, bears the image of a man who appears to have been physically hurt in a manner consistent with crucifixion.
The Bella Italia Travel Center is proud to offer a tour that includes a visit to Turin to view the Shroud. Tour dates are April 16-April 26, 2010. After three days in Turin, the tour continues to Milan and Venice. In these important cities tour participants will visit additional significant cathedrals and sites, such as the Duomo in Milan and the Basilica of the Frari in Venice. Longtime Denver resident, Founder and President of Bella Italia Tours and a native of Genoa Italy, Gianfranco Russu will lead this special tour.
